Bruce Boudreau Firing Imminent?

Capitals Management Close To Firing Bruce Boudreau
As first noted by IncarceratedBob (here), it appears that the Washington Capitals are nearing a coaching change. The Caps have been dramatically underperforming and considering that it was made clear before the season began that the Stanley Cup was their one and only goal, it cannot last much longer. It appears that Capitals coach, Bruce Boudreau, has been the source of some major problems in the locker room as according to IBN the Europeans are very unhappy playing for Boudreau while some of the North American players are still backing him. In an environment like that with the locker room split it is impossible to win and unfortunately for Boudreau the only way that tension in the room is solved is for him to be relieved. Its been said that Capitals brass will be giving him an ultimatum and if he fails to win the next game or two he will be replaced. The likely candidate to replace Boudreau is former Caps pugilist, Dale Hunter (one of the most hated men in Islanders history).

EDIT (11/28/2011-8:40 AM): This morning it was officially announced that Bruce Boudreau has been terminated by the Washington Capitals. Dale Hunter has left his position with the London Knights and has been given the head coaching duties in Washington. He will join the team for practice this morning.
