Having Mark Eaton out for six weeks will hurt an already weak Islanders defense and I am really not looking forward to seeing Mike Mottau play every day, but on the bright side his injury enabled the Isles to recall a player and they chose to call-up Micheal Haley. Following his call-up last year, the season changed and hopefully the same thing happens this time around. I'm not banking on it, but its possible. Even if it doesn't turn the season around, I am one hundred percent sure it will help the team at least a little. The Isles have been pushed around all season, and its about time they got some more muscle out there. Like we heard last night, this team is fragile, and I think having some hard asses in the line-up last year to help players physically and mentally, made a big difference and trying to do that again can only help.
