"Edmonton Oilers star Taylor Hall is out for the season with a high ankle sprain.

Hall injured his left ankle Thursday when he fell during a fight with Columbus forward Derek Dorsett. Hall underwent an MRI on Friday and the team sent out a tweet later in the day saying it was a high ankle sprain, which will take eight weeks to heal."

Taylor Hall's injury seems more serious than previously thought and it looks as though he will be sitting out the rest of the season. Although the Oilers obviously will not be having any important games in the near future, it's still a big blow to this re-building organization. Hall has been spectacular as of late and his injury really puts a negative spin on what should have been a great overall year for him.
