Brown senior captain Harry Zolnierczyk agreed to a one-year contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Monday.

Zolnierczyk, who put up 16-15-31 scoring totals with 126 penalty minutes in 29 games this season, will report to Adirondack of the American Hockey League this week. At the end of the AHL season, Zolnierczyk will join the Flyers for the playoffs, according to Peter Donatelli, his agent.

Zolnierczyk received offers from a dozen teams, Donatelli said.

A one-year deal is the maximum that Zolnierczyk, as a 23-year-old free agent, could receive under the National Hockey League's collective bargaining agreement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Zolnierczyk, who has blazing speed, has drawn comparisons to NHLers Brad Marchand and Sean Avery for his agitating, physical style of play.

Very solid signing for the Philadelphia, who get a guy that plays "Flyer" style hockey.
