Blue Jackets Shopping Brassard

Blue Jackets Panicking; Brassard May Be On The Move
The Blue Jackets are in a lot of trouble right now and their management knows it. They have been looking at making some moves, especially after their last lost. Right now it looks like Derick Brassard will be the likely candidate to be traded and according to hockeybreak, there are a few Eastern Conferences teams that are pushing hard for him. If the Jackets continue to struggle look for him (and possibly others) to be shipped out fairly soon. Brassard is twenty-four years old, and has still not realized his potential that made him the 6th overall pick in the 2006 NHL draft, but despite that he is still an effective NHL player. Every year that he has been in the league, his point total has increased, as well as his overall play. If he continues to grow and play more consistently, he could be a good 2nd line player. I expect there to be a good amount of interest and a solid return coming back to the Jackets if he were to be moved.
