Tampa Bay Claims Tim Wallace On Waivers From The NY Islanders

Thoughts:
I was not overly pleased when news began to leak that Wallace had been waived, and now to hear that he's been claimed really makes me upset. Wallace may not have all the talent in the world, but he gives every ounce of energy he has. Unlike some other Islander players (Rolston, Reasoner, etc.), he was clearly doing all that he possibly could. Had he been able to clear waivers I'm sure he would've been a key player for the Sound Tigers down in the American Hockey League playoff run which makes this turn of events all-the-more worse. I expect Wallace to play some bottom-six minutes for the Lightning down the stretch, and I wholeheartedly hope that he succeeds with them.

Islanders Remove Travis Hamonic From Injured Reserve
Return Aaron Ness On Loan To The Bridgeport Sound Tigers
Thoughts:
It is terrific to hear that Hamonic is ready to return, I only hope its not too late to make an impact. The Isles really struggled without Hamonic in their line-up and if there's any hope of making a last-ditch push for the eighth spot he will have to be ready to play big minutes every night. Because Hamonic is ready to play Friday, the Islanders had to make room for him by sending Aaron Ness down to Bridgeport. In his eight game stretch with the Isles Ness was very impressive and aside from a few mental mistakes, played a very sound game at both ends of the ice. I think we will see him in the NHL again in the near future.

Islanders Recall Casey Cizikas From The Bridgeport Sound Tigers
Thoughts:
All I can say is its about time. Cizikas has been incredible for the Sound Tigers this season and at only twenty-years old it looks as though the Isles have a gem on their hands. Known as a terrific defensive forward, Cizikas has surprised in the offense department leading the Sound Tigers in points and plus/minus. He's a very solid all-around player that definitely deserved a shot at the NHL level. I think his talent and energy will be a very nice addition for the Isles in the next few weeks.
