D- Matt Pelech (San Jose)- Big, mean defenseman who takes care of business in his own end. Provides an intimidation factor from the blue-line that is missing from the Islanders line-up. At just 24 years old, he still has a lot of time before he hits his full potential...might be a solid pick-up for the Isles.

LW- Luca Caputi (Toronto)- Young twenty-two year old winger that has a good amount of upside. Big frame and uses it well around the net and along the boards. He didn't have a great season last year, but he could very possibly be a "diamond in the rough" here. I hope Garth Snow at least considers placing a claim.
