Waiver Update-9/27/2011:
Placed On Waivers:
Waiver Wire Players Of Interest:
D- Arturs Kulda (Jets): I really like this kid. He is a good defenseman, especially in his own end. He has good awareness and uses it to play a very simplified, yet effective game. I think he is ready for the NHL and what ever team that ends up with him will be happy. This could possibly be a player the Isles would like so keep an eye out. |
C- Zach Hamill (Boston): There is a reason this kid was drafted as high as he was. He has put up decent AHL numbers and I believe he is NHL ready. He had an impressive pre-season as he utilized all of his assets. He distributes the puck well and has a good two-way game. I might be wrong (as I have been with many waived players through the past few days), but I believe he 100 percent will get claimed. |
LW- Tom Sestito (Flyers): Don't get me wrong, his hit last night was disgusting, but I still really like this kid. He is young at just twenty-three years old and I personally believe he is NHL ready. He is huge and is a very effective enforcer, who also plays a decent offensive game. |
RW- Andreas Thuresson (Rangers): At just twenty-three years old, I believe this kid still has a lot of room to improve. He's a very hard worker which helps him play well on both sides of the puck. He looked terrific in his pre-season action with the Rangers. He might be a nice pick-up for someone. |
