I really like Marc Methot's playing style which is that of a sturdy defensive defenseman who can put up a few points here and there. He is a top-4 defenseman in my opinion, and his 4-year deal means that he will be able to provide a solid presence for the Blue Jackets back-end for almost half a decade. Over the next four season's he will receive a total of $12 million and an average of $3 million per season.
