Capitals Re-Sign Mike Knuble To A One Year Extension

Capitals Re-Sign Mike Knuble To A One-Year Deal
The Washington Capitals have signed Winger Mike Knuble to a one-year contract extension. According to Pierre LeBrun, the one-year deal will have a cap-hit of approximately $2-million which is $800K less than his current contract which payed him $2.8-million. The 38-year old Right Winger had another good year with the Capitals as he reached the 20 goal plateau for the 8th consecutive NHL season. In any player's career that is quite the accomplishment but at 38 year's old its even more astonishing. He has really been an important member of this Capitals team, not only because he was 3rd on the team in goals but he has done a terrific job in his role as Assistant Captain. This re-signing is smart and the terms should make Capitals fan's very pleased.
