Radek Martinek Headed To The KHL?

According to this Russian media outlet, Radek Martinek may be heading to play in the KHL. The site had this to say, "According to the information available to Sports.ru, New York Islanders and Czech national team defender Radek Martinek will spend next season (on) one of the Russian (KHL) top clubs." This would be sad news for Islanders fans who have had Martinek on their club since the 2001-02 season. I had previously reported in his season review that its been rumored for a few years that Martinek may be feeling home-sick and on the verge of leaving the NHL. But this news is a tad surprising because of the fact that he would still be away from his home in the Czech Republic. That is the reason why I would caution people about the validity of this. But regardless, its interesting never-the-less.
