Of coarse as always there is a small chance he is retained but I personally don't believe he will be. He doesn't seem to fit in the Islanders plans. If he is brought back though, it would only be for Bridgeport.

Review:
This season in my opinion was very important to Kohn's NHL future and unfortunately he did not show enough to earn another contract. He put up a few points but not as many as one would have liked. What I found especially surprising was the fact that the Islanders did not re-call him once this season. Although he did go down with an injury in the latter part of the season its still troubling that he didn't even see one game in the NHL. I don't believe he will receive a qualifying offer.
