According to Bob McKenzie, Hal Gill has agreed to terms on a one-year, $2.25M contract with the Canadiens. This is good news for the Habs as Gill has developed into quite the mentor for young P.K. Subban and in my opinion is vital to Subban's development. Along with that, he is a force defensively and consistently keeps the front of the net clear.
