Review:
The fact that he was signed to an NHL contract and actually re-called goes to show how dire the Isles goalie situation was. He started off the season in the CHL and had only played four AHL games in his career prior to this season and the last one was during the 2006-2007 season. He started the season in the CHL and was not impressive with a 3.53 GAA and a 0.890 Save % in 21 games but due to the goalie problems the Islanders organization had, the Sound Tigers had him play 18 games. In those games he put up sub-par numbers with a 3.54 GAA, 0.880 Save %, and an awful 2-12-2 record. He then returned to the CHL and had slightly better play but definitely not enough to earn an AHL contract, let-alone an NHL contract. To this day, I am shocked he was able to get a contract from the Isles this year.
Season Grade (A+ to F-): D
He was awful for the Sound Tigers and to be honest he was not too good for Odessa in the CHL.
