PattyB Thoughts:
I am actually really bummed about this, I thought Klasen might turn into a good NHL player. He has a great offensive skill-set and in his first season in North America in the AHL he put up very good numbers with 22 goals and 23 assists for 45 points in 47 games. I expected him to get a full-time NHL role next season and I really thought he might have a surprising break-out rookie season, but due to this news I think its safe to say Klasen will never get that opportunity. He has already been named the captain of the Malmo club and its starting to sound more and more as though he will not be coming across the "pond" for the rest of his career.
