He will return to Clarkson University for his Junior year and will be fighting for the back-up goalie position.

I am not sure he has a long-term future in pro-hockey (AHL, ECHL, CHL) let alone in the NHL. That may sound harsh, but it may very well be true.

Review:

Cody Rosen's draft selection will go down as an absolute mystery for a long, long time. During his draft year he only appeared in one game and was god awful in it. I will write a piece regarding this controversy in the near-future, but this is about reviewing his play this season, but what makes that so difficult, is he played only 3 games all season. Yeah, you read that right...3 GAMES!! Not because of an injury or personal situation, just because he was buried that deep on Clarkson's depth chart. Now in those 3 games he only had one decision and that was a loss. His stats as far as GAA and Save % were good but I personally don't really give them any credit considering how little action he saw. I really don't think he should even be included with the rest of the Islanders prospects because he is, as of now, not a player that has any shot in hell at making the NHL. His frame is smaller than ideal and obviously he, at 20 years old, is having trouble seeing ice-time in college hockey which really supports the notion that its unlikely he is ever signed to a contract.

I can't even grade him appropriately considering how little ice-time he saw.
