To Panthers:
Jack Skille
Hugh Jessiman
David Pacan
To Blackhawks:
Michael Frolik
Alexander Salak
Review:
In one of the most surprising trades made this season, Michael Frolik was moved to the Blackhawks in a one-sided deal. Frolik has put up 21 goals in both of his first two season's and although this year has been a difficult one for him, he still has put up 29 points thus far. His offensive skill shines through whenever he is on the ice. Hiding behind the big name of Frolik, Alexander Salak is a very talented and underrated young goaltender. He is putting up SICK numbers in the Swedish Elite League with a strong, league leading 0.926 Save %. Now although I obviously feel like the Blackhawks "stole" from the Panthers, lets not forget the guys that were sent to Florida. Jack Skille was the prime piece sent down south, and the opinions on him vary immensely. He has been stagnating in the Hawks system for years and has yet to put many points up at the highest level. This year he has been held to 17 points in 49 games, and has been a bit of a disappointment. Tallon, now the GM of the Panthers, was said to have been wanting to bring in his former prospect whom he had drafted and groomed during his tenure as the GM of the Blackhawks. Another player Florida got in the deal was David Pacan, a 19 year old Center, who has put up 43 points in 47 games. He has potential but is definitely not anything close to a sure fire prospect (which was what should have been the return). In addition to those two players, the Panthers got Hugh Jessiman who has not been anything special and has had next to no value.
Winner: Now and in the future the Blackhawks DESTROY the Panthers in this move.
