Review:

The Isles acquire a goalie in Montoya that may not have been putting up great stats but definitely has potential to be atleast a back-up in the NHL somewhere down the road. In the AHL this season he has put up sub-par numbers with a 3.19 GAA and a 0.891 Save % but he has shown glimpses of talent at times in his career. The Islanders look to Montoya to fill the void left by the injury to Poulin.
