PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE: Dave Molinari looked at potential trade targets for Penguins GM Ray Shero should he look to bolster his club via trade for pending UFAs from non-playoff teams. Amongst the, PA Parenteau of the NY Islanders, Alex Kovalev of the Ottawa Senators, and Cory Stillman, Chris Higgins and Radek Dvorak of the Florida Panthers. Molinari also suggested “there’s a chance” pending UFAs on playoff contenders like Dallas’ Brad Richards, Colorado’s Milan Hejduk and Phoenix’s Radim Vrbata might be available.
BOSTON HERALD: reports Marc Savard won’t be returning for the remainder of the season due to concussion, which will allow for cap flexibility for management to shop for a potential replacement.
CSNPHILLY.COM: Tim Panaccio reports the Flyers are making two contract offers to winger Ville Leino of three and four years in length worth between $9 million and $12 million depending on the contract length. Agent Bill Zito remains confident a deal can be reached with his client and the Flyers.

BUFFALO NEWS: Bucky Gleason suggested perhaps winger/center Tim Connolly might be a good fit with the LA Kings, who are believed seeking a winger for Anze Kopitar’s line. Gleason suggested Connolly, a UFA this summer, might benefit from a change of scenery.
