Bergenheim May Test The Market

Play-Off Hero, Sean Bergenheim May Test Market
Source
"We quoted Lightning GM Steve Yzerman on Monday saying both sides were not close in talks to re-sign playoff revelation Sean Bergenheim, a UFA July 1. The agent concurred Tuesday. "We have a different set of opinion in terms of the value of Sean. That's basically it," agent Todd Diamond told ESPN.com. "We both agree he brings a value to the team, but the difficult part is agreeing on how much that's worth." Sounds to us like Bergenheim and Diamond want to see what's out there July 1 before circling back to Yzerman."
PattyB Thoughts:
Bergenheim and his agent have done this before, and its getting a bit old. Sure, he played well in the playoffs, but this is a guy who never has gotten 30 points in a season through his 5 year NHL career. He is a bottom-six forward who seems to think he is a 1st line winger. For the right price, he would be a hell of an addition to a team's bottom-six forward group, but it just doesn't seem like he is content with that.
