D. Teemu Laakso (Predators): 1 Year Extension (2-Way) 

-$675,000 Per Year (NHL) & $105,000 Per Year (AHL)

Thoughts:

There were many rumors going around the past few weeks that Laakso was going to head to Europe, but apparently he was able to get the amount of money he was looking for from the Preds. His potential is good and I think if he puts a good season together, may develop into a decent all-around type defenseman. If he doesn't have the type of season he needs in 11-12, I would expect him to bolt over to Europe. 

LW. Tom Sestito (Flyers): N/A

Thoughts:

I like Tom Sestito and I really feel like he is going to turn into a hell of a player with the Flyers. His style is perfect for that organization and with Carcillo most likely walking on July 1st, there is going to be a spot open in the Flyers group of bottom-six forwards for Sestito to grab. 

D. Patrick McNeill (Capitals): 2 Year Extension (2-Way)

-$525,000 Per Year (NHL) & $105,000 Per Year (AHL)

Thoughts:

McNeill is a decent depth AHL defenseman, who has been very good for the Hershey Bears (Capitals AHL Affiliate). Despite playing for the Bears for the past 4 years, he has yet to make his NHL debut which should come soon.

D. Sean Sullivan (Sharks): 1 Year Extension (2-Way)

-$525,000 Per Year (NHL) & $105,000 Per Year (AHL)

Thoughts:

He, like McNeill, has been a very talented defenseman in the AHL and has put up a lot of points. At 27 years old, and with four AHL seasons under his belt, he has yet to step on NHL ice. But if he continues his high point production from the back-end, he will get his shot eventually.
