Review:
The Blackhawks weren't planning on re-signing the 29 year old, Tomas Kopecky and he was set to become an Unrestricted Free Agent on July, 1st. Because of that, the fact that they were able to get anything for him should be considered a "success". From the Panthers perspective, they get a guy that they had as one of their main targets in free agency. There are rumors going around that the Panthers are closing in on a 4-year contract with him which would make this trade worth while for them. This past season was a great year for Kopecky as he had a career high in goals and assists and did a great job displaying a sound two-way game.
