- The Coyotes are interested in signing free agent goaltender Viktor Fasth who is 28 years old and was the net-minder for the Swedish team in the World Championships. They also are interested in exploring the possibilities of trading for Tuukka Rask of the Boston Bruins, or Cory Schneider of the Vancouver Canucks.

-The Blue Jackets have informed D Craig Rivet, LW Ethan Moreau, RW Chris Clark that they will not be re-signed. All three will become Unrestricted Free Agents on July 1st.

-According to Katie Strang and Chris Botta, Garth Snow is open to moving the 5th overall draft pick. They have reported that he is willing to move up or down with it and also that if he were to receive an offer with the right player coming back, he'd consider moving the pick for an NHL ready player.
BLOG NOTES:
Because both the draft and free agency are approaching very quickly, I will be taking a break from the season reviews until mid-July or so. Once things start to slow down in the hockey world, I will get right back to finishing up one season review a day.
