Review:
I LOVE this deal for the Leafs who were able to acquire one of the NHL's premiere offensive defenseman for only a 2nd round draft pick in 2012. Liles is only 30 years old, and he seems to be only getting better each year. He may not have the ideal size for an NHL defenseman, but he uses what he has well and in all 3 zones is very impressive. This trade ends a long 7 year tenure that Liles has had with the Avalanche, the team that drafted him. They didn't have to pay a big price at all, as they only gave one 2nd rounder in next year's draft. Liles automatically makes the Leafs top-six defense core one of the best in the entire NHL.
